History

Smart Solutions Inc. was founded in 1996 by Joel Fangmann and Jackie Mortell.  Joel was the business brains of the enterprise and did sales for the company for the first three years.  In December of 1998, we hired a broken down old hack to lead our sales team – Jerry Fangmann – Joel’s father and Jackie’s old boss from Cap Gemini.  Jerry helped us build the company from a dozen consultants to over 80 at the time of his retirement in October of 2006. Jerry now winters in Arizona and summers in Madison, WI so he can pursue his love of golf year round.
 
Joel died unexpectly on October 5th, 2004.
