 Smart Solutions, Inc. was founded in 1996 by Joel Fangmann (pictured right) and Jackie Mortell. Joel was the business brains of the enterprise and did sales for the company for the first three years. In December of 1998, we hired Jerry Fangmann to lead the sales team. Jerry is Joel’s father and Jackie’s former boss from Cap Gemini. Jerry helped build the company from a dozen consultants to over 80 at the time of his retirement in October of 2006. Jerry now winters in Arizona and summers in Madison, WI so he can pursue his love of golf year round.
Joel died unexpectedly on October 5th, 2004.
Mark Guerrera and Jackie became business partners in 2006.
